When my Father came to visit Me, at Ramstein AFB,Germany in 1976, he saw a billboard, depicted above.

He decided that he had to have the Z Scale engine on the sign, and a set of cars and track to go with it.

It was never clear if he wanted just to have the train, or to empress the buxom lady.

Until the day he died 25 years later, I and the rest of the family were not allowed to touch the train set.

Soon after his demise, my mother gave me the train set.

I attempted to run the engine for a Christmas train and found the engine froze up, with hardened oil syndrome.

I attempted to repair it and could not get the gears to line up.

I then sent it off to a couple in Florida, who eventually returned it in great working order.

In the mean time, I needed a working engine for the Christmas train, and bought one,

some Z Christmas cars, and a few more cars,

and some more Z scale and more …..
